Social Bakery Initiatives: Revitalizing Communities in Kharkiv and Donetsk Regions
We are actively working to improve living conditions in the de-occupied territories of the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions through two critical initiatives: the Social Bakery in Derhachi ATC and Social Bread in Arkhangelske. These projects are designed to address the urgent need for food security while also fostering economic recovery and creating job opportunities in these war-affected areas.
Social Bakery in Derhachi ATC
Area: Kharkiv Region
Status: Urgent Needs
Budget: $12,045
Impact: 3,300 people
In the Kharkiv region, particularly in the villages of Mali, Velyki Prohody, and Ruska Lozova within Derhachi ATC, the devastation caused by the full-scale invasion of Russia has left communities struggling to survive. With 60-80% of buildings damaged or destroyed in Mali Prohody and Velyki Prohody, and a drastically reduced population in Ruska Lozova, the need for basic resources is dire.
To support these communities, we have launched the “Social Bakery” program in collaboration with local residents. This initiative aims to provide a daily supply of 500-600 units of bread, a critical necessity for the residents. While the local community has generously offered premises for the bakery, we urgently need funding to purchase the necessary equipment to make this project operational.
Social Bread in Arkhangelske
Area: Donetsk Region
Status: Ongoing
Budget: $3,500
Impact: 4,000 people
In the Donetsk region, the community of Arkhangelske also faces significant challenges as a result of the conflict. The “Social Bread” initiative here is focused on ensuring that residents have access to essential food supplies, particularly bread. With a daily need for hundreds of loaves, this ongoing project has already made a substantial impact by providing for 4,000 people.
However, to continue this vital work, additional funding is required to maintain and expand the operations. The project not only meets the nutritional needs of the community but also provides much-needed employment opportunities, helping to stabilize the local economy.
Urgent Needs:
Rehabilitation & Support Camps for Children
Budget: $29,195
These are children who lost one or two parents during the war, girls who have been raped, or those who have lost their homes, and do not have acceptable living conditions.professional teams provide a quiet place without sirens, a comprehensive rehabilitation program, a balanced diet, and a lot of love and care for those who are the future of our country.

Budget: $4,750
The population of the affected area is steadily increasing due to displacement caused by the conflict’s proximity and frequent shelling by the Russian army. We provide essential support including medical supplies, food, and hygiene products to meet their urgent needs.
