📍Odesa, Ukraine
June 2025

We need your help to support displaced children in Ukraine. These young survivors have lived through war, lost homes—and some, even their parents.

These are children who have seen more than most adults will in a lifetime.
They’ve fled burning cities, slept in bomb shelters, and clung to their mothers as sirens screamed through the night. Some have lost their homes. Some—far worse—have lost a parent.

All of them carry the invisible scars of war. And yet—when I stepped into their modest dining hall, they didn’t show sorrow. They beamed. They stood tall.

With wide eyes and shy grins, they greeted me:

“Hello! My name is Sophia.”
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Emory.”

Their English was clear, their manners impeccable. And in that moment, I saw something extraordinary: not victims, but survivors. Not broken children—but a generation still daring to hope.

💙 These children are part of the Good Samaritan Foundation’s Educational Program to support displaced children in Ukraine. Funded in part by Helping Ukraine US, this program provides:

  • 🏫 Safe, full-day education

  • 🍲 Nutritious meals (including lunch and dinner)

  • 🎨 After-school activities and creative clubs

  • 🧠 Psychological and emotional support

  • 👩‍🏫 Caring teachers who help with homework and stability

Right now, these children are enjoying a peaceful summer camp, where they laugh, learn, and rediscover what it means to be a child.

But here’s the truth: we cannot continue this program without you.

🙏 Please, help us support displaced children in Ukraine so they can begin to heal and thrive.

🇺🇸 From one American to another: this is what real compassion looks like. Let’s stand with Ukraine’s children. Let’s give them a reason to keep smiling.

With gratitude,
