Mamay Foundation Ukraine Education: Keeping Children Learning in Limanets
In Limanets village, Kherson region, 230 children endured the first eight months of the invasion under occupation and nearly a year without electricity or communication. Today, returning to school is still impossible due to ongoing shelling. Instead, these children study in a basement that doubles as a bomb shelter.
Together with the Mamay Foundation, Helping Ukraine US made it possible for learning to continue. We equipped this underground classroom with a projector, computer, and essential tools. For these children, every lesson is not only about education—it is about resilience, dignity, and hope.
