Today we were able to see the inside of a refugee center in Odessa. People from every walk of life were there – Greek, Italian, Romanian. It was a 5-floor building full of about 100 people, most whole families. There were probably 20 kids there. I gave them Snickers candy bars, a little piece of home. The mayor wanted to meet our team, so off we went. We learned that the mayor opened three hotels for refugees and sends all the humanitarian aid he receives to Timothy and his team at the church (more to come on Timothy later) Gifts were exchanged among us, and a camera crew was there. It is amazing to still find kindness and normalcy when things are anything but normal. All I can say, is he was a humble gentleman.
